When the Bulington Northern Railroad found its way to Craig, a new business arose and helped serve the canyon - Craig Mercantile Company. The original Craig Mercantile Company was located in what is today's The Trout Shop Lodge. At its inception, Craig Mercantile sold Peter Schuttler covered wagons and building materials. Today, things are a little different.

Times have changed, but the spirit of Craig Mercantile Company lives on. Fly fishing dominates the area now. Craig Mercantile is still in town and helping serve the needs of the Canyon. Most importantly, Craig Mercantile helps you spend more time on the river.
