How to get here.
The Trout Shop and the Missouri River are easy to get to. If you're flying, both Great Falls and Helena provide air service. Both airports are approximately 45 minutes from Craig where the river and The Trout Shop are located. While Great Falls is an international airport, you will find it easy to get into and out of. Helena's airport is small and equally easy to enter and exit. Both airports are only minutes from Interstate 15. Travel south from Great Falls or north from Helena. You'll be at The Trout Shop in Craig, MT, within 45 minutes and will be literally two city blocks from the river. It's that easy. Once you reach Craig, stop in our fly shop and we'll get you where you want to be - on the river within minutes.
Lodging - The first step towards the river.
Planning your next trip should start by satisfying your lodging needs. Use our on-line lodging reservation system as a tool to start your trip plan and save you time. No, it's not a person, but it is a very valuable trip planning tool. Our current lodging status is available to you 24 hours a day seven days a week. About Our Accommodations
Established in 1989, The Trout Shop's Lodge is the senior lodging establishment on the river. Centrally located in Craig, Montana, and a stone's throw away from the Missouri's wild trout, you'll find our lodge to be diverse, comfortable and a fun place to be. Our on-premise cafe serves great meals and is managed to maximize your fishing opportunities.

Food Service
Breakfast
Start your morning out right - a hearty breakfast and a hot cup of coffee at The Trout Shop Cafe. Where else are you going to get a fishing report at 7:00 AM? You won't find more accurate fishing reports or better food. This service is available to The Trout Shop's lodging guests only.
Lunch
Deluxe boat lunches are the norm at The Trout Shop. In the past, we produced our streamside lunches in The Trout Shop Cafe. In 2005, we introduced Craig Mercantile Company. The Mercantile Company use to sell Peter Schuttler covered wagons. Today, it sells custom deli sandwiches, pop, chips, beer, wine and other grocery supplies.
Dinner
Long days on the river are the norm. In July, you can fish from 6:00 am to 10:30 pm. Why would you leave the river when the caddis are coming off in abandon? You don't have to. The Trout Shop Cafe is open when you get off the river. Choose from nightly specials to tasty steaks on the grill. The menu varies daily and is certain to please. This service is available to The Trout Shop's lodging guests only.

The Trout Shop is not an ordinary destination fly shop. You'll find most all the top gear available today and an awesome Missouri River Fly selection in our remote retail store.

The Trout Shop is a value-added booking agent that arranges Guided Fly Fishing Trips on the Missouri River. Drift Boat Rental - Maximize your efficiency.
Want to challenge the river on your own? The Trout Shop rents top-of-the-line Clackacraft and RO Drift Boats. Don't worry about renting a car with a trailer hitch. We launch and retrieve your rental boat. Your vehicle will be waiting for you at the end of the day. River shuttles are an ordinary part of our service. The Mighty Mo really isn't mighty in the summer fishing months. For the most part, the Missouri River is a placid wading stream that resembles a large spring creek. Shipping & Receiving Service - Avoid airline hassles.
Packing fly rods and all your fishing gear for your flight can be a hassle. Avoid the hassle. Ship your equipment in advance of your trip. We'll receive and securely store your packages until you arrive. When you're finished with your trip, leave the shipping to us. We prefer to ship via United Parcel Service so your packages can be tracked easily.
River Shuttle Service - 20 years on the road.
Leave your second vehicle at home and spend more time on the river. Stop in The Trout Shop and arrange your shuttle quickly. While you're fishing, we're working for you. Bring an extra key with you so your vehicle stays secure while you're on the river. At the end of the day, your vehicle will be waiting for you. Spend even more time on the river.
Gear Rental - Less hassle and less risk.
