Angel Hair™
Angel Hair™ is a very fine Mylar type material that is packaged in hanks. With 6-8 inch strands Angel Hair ™ can be used for those big old billfish flies or cut it up for dubbing your small trout flies. It will add a little glitter to your old standbys. Tied in baitfish patterns like deceivers and clousers Angel Hair™ seems to come alive in the water.Angel Hair™ blends well with most other materials for dubbing and it doesn’t absorb water, so large flies dont get heavier. Shimmer
Shimmer is a blend of very fine nylon fibers with holographic fibers. It swims and breathes like marabou in the water. Shimmer won't disapear after the first bite like marabou. This is a tough, vibrant, and translucent material in hank form that you will use in many of the same applications as marabou. It can be used in patterns that you would never have considered using marabou in before because marabou is so fragile. Shimmer was field tested for 2 years by fly tying and fly fishing pros. It has been used in tails and wings for both fresh and saltwater flies.
