End of the Season?
While the tourists for the most part have left the area, the Missouri is still producing some killer days. There's a ton of big fish in the river.
In the spring, we can't wait until the water temperature reaches the mid to upper 40's. That's where were at right now. In the spring, we can't wait until we have baetis. We have them now. In the spring, the air temperature is trending upwards. In the spring, more people arrive as the air temperature increases. In the spring, the fish are smaller than they are in the fall. In the fall, people leave because it's getting cold outside. It's fall and a great time to be a local fisherman. Enjoy the river. It's as good as it gets and it's yours until next spring.
Thanks for the great season. It was memorable.
