Rio Powerflex Tippet is a high tech, high tenacity copolymer with excellent knot strength and PTFE coating for abrasion resistance and elongation averaging 26%. Sometimes called double strength nylon. Used for all species, light gray provides super camouflage in any subaquatic environment.
Rio Saltwater IGFA Hard Mono is an ultra-hard stiff nylon for the ultimate in abrasion resistance and for carrying the fly in windy conditions. Guaranteed to break just under IGFA-class test. Easiest of all hard monos to knot.
Fluoroflex® Plus material is made from 100% fluorocarbon (PVDF). This exceptional leader and tippet is the strongest, thinnest fluorocarbon on the market with an incredible strength. For example, 5 lb for 5x material. It is a slightly softer material than Fluoroflex and ties excellent knots. The refractive index (1.42) of Fluoroflex Plus in water (1.33) compared to nylon (1.62) makes it almost invisible to fish.Fluoroflex Plus, with a density of 1.72 (compared to nylon of 1.15), sinks quicker and gets below the surface tension for more effective wet fly fishing. 30 yd (27.5 m) spools.
Rio Max™ is a medium stiff, ultra clear tippet material with 35% elongation and is very easy to knot. Perfect for all anadromous species, and for saltwater fly fishing, especially bonefish. This tippet material outlasts and out-tests any other monofilament. It is completely reliable. Available on 30 yd (27.5 m) spools in 2.2 lb - 110 lbs. Several sizes are IGFA Class rated.
